Rebate Program Options

Destination: Excellence’s program options are based on Ohio BWC’s guiding principles of prevention and care. CSI can assist employers that are searching for rebate programs or alternative discounts and guide them through the enrollment process.

Rebate Program Options

Drug-Free Safety Program (DFSP)

Employers participating in the DFSP are eligible for a 4 to 7% premium rebate as long as they satisfy all basic program requirements. Learn more about the DFSP requirements and contact CSI to determine your DFSP rebate potential.

 

Safety Council Rebate Program

Enroll in any of the 82 safety councils in Ohio, attend 10 safety council meetings or events between July 1 and June 30th each year, submit a semiannual report and attend the CEO meeting to receive up to a 4% rebate. Have questions regarding rebate requirement?

Industry-Specific Safety Program (ISSP)

Employers can receive a 3% rebate when they commit to completing up to three loss-prevention-specific activities during their program year. Contact CSI to learn more about this rebate and the loss-prevention activities.

 

Transitional Work Bonus (TWB)

There is a potential 10% back-end bonus incentive for employers with an approved transitional work plan that implements the program to return injured workers to work.

Alternative Discounts

One Claim Program (OCP)

Employers enrolled in a group-experience-rating program can take advantage of the opportunity to participate in OCP. This requires having one single significant claim entering your experience for the first time, with up to three additional medical claims allowed that may rotate as long as there is never more than four total at any given moment.

If you qualify and participate in the program, you will receive the following discount off your base rate:

  • 20% the first year in the program
  • 15% the second year
  • 10% the third year
  • 5% the fourth year

 

EM capping

The BWC offers a program to cap an employer's experience modifier (EM) and reduce the impacts of penalty-rated premiums. The EM cap will equal 100 percent of the previous year's published EM, whether individual or group, if partaking in such plans.

The Deductible Program
